Consulting

Accessibility work,
done together

Consulting happens through SVAccessibility, the practice Vicki and I run together. This page explains what that looks like and how to reach the right place.

Where the work lives

SVAccessibility is the home for this

When an organization wants real accessibility work — a team to talk to, a process, people who will stay with it — that is SVAccessibility. Vicki and I bring our experience together to help teams make games and technology more accessible.

This site is the personal side of things. If you already know what you need, go straight to SVA Consulting. If you are not sure yet, or you would rather start with a conversation, email me and I will point you to the right place — even if that place is not us.

What I bring

The perspective I add to a project

Lived experience

A first-hand read on where a product actually breaks down for disabled players and users.

Community insight

Years spent inside gaming communities, close to the people your decisions land on.

Practical direction

Helping teams find the change that is worth making first, rather than the longest possible list.

Advocacy and voice

Talks, sessions and conversations that help the work land with the rest of the organization.

Getting started

How a first conversation goes

Tell me the situation

What you are building, who it is for, and what feels stuck.

We talk it through

A short conversation to work out whether this is a consulting engagement, a talk, or something simpler.

Route it properly

Consulting engagements are handled through SVAccessibility.

Two doors

Either route reaches us

Go direct to SVA if you are ready, or email me if you would rather start informally. Nothing is lost either way.

Next step

Not sure which door to use?

Send a short note describing the project, your goals and where you need help.
