I believe everyone deserves a chance to play, to connect, and to belong. That belief shapes everything I do — speaking, consulting, writing, and building community.
My story
Games gave me a place to belong
Games have always been about more than what happens on a screen. They gave me friendships, a place to be myself, and proof that the right design can open a door that looked closed. That is the whole idea behind my work: when we remove barriers, more people get to take part.
I spend my days as an advocate, speaker, consultant and creator. Some of that is on a stage or a panel, talking about what inclusion actually feels like from the inside. Some of it is quieter — writing, streaming with the Spawn Zone, answering a message from someone who just wants to know that playing is still possible for them.
Vicki and I bring our perspectives together through SVAccessibility, where the consulting work and the team live. This site is the personal side of that: who I am, what I care about, and how to reach me.
I write fiction too. The Finder is a crime novel about a man who can find anything — and a search that puts the people closest to him at risk.

Play is not a luxury
For a lot of people, a game is where friendship, independence and joy actually happen. That makes accessibility serious work.
Lived experience counts
The people closest to a barrier usually already know the fix. Good work starts by listening to them, not about them.
Practical beats perfect
Small, shippable changes made consistently open more doors than a grand plan that never lands.
Possibility is contagious
Show one person what is possible and they show the next. That is how communities change.
