Game Developers Choice Awards · 2022

In 2022, the Game Developers Choice Awards presented me with the Ambassador Award for my work advocating for accessibility in video games. The honor recognizes people who help the industry and its communities move forward.

The award citation highlights work connecting studios with players with disabilities, advancing inclusive development and using games to help people overcome social isolation. Those connections remain at the heart of what I do.

Tempest Awards

Named one of three Luminaries at the 2023 Tempest Awards, held during the Esports & Gaming Business Summit in Las Vegas. The annual event brings together the people and organizations shaping esports and gaming.

SXSW Gaming Awards

SXSW honored my accessibility advocacy with its 2020 Game Industry Champion of Change award. This special recognition celebrates an individual who has brought positive change to gaming and helped break down barriers for others.

Shacknews

Shacknews named me its 2020 Person of the Year for advocating for gamers with disabilities, bringing people together to fundraise and helping build a more inclusive gaming community.

That year, I also co-hosted the first Video Game Accessibility Awards with Alanah Pearce, celebrating developers making games more accessible.

The Game Awards and Facebook Gaming recognized me as a Global Gaming Citizen in 2018. The honor brought my accessibility work and the importance of connection through play to a worldwide gaming audience.
